Let's Keep AI Candidates

Out Of Office!

The air is a bit more crisp, and political forums are underway. Happy October!

Where has the time gone? Just yesterday, we were wondering who would be running for office, and now we are just a few weeks away from early voting.

Which brings me to "the issue". As you know, we live in a world where AI is taking over everything. From our phones to our vacuums, it's like living in an episode of "The Jetsons" minus the flying cars. However, something far more problematic recently has come to my attention: political candidates getting their political platforms from AI. And let me tell you, folks, this is a problem.

Don't get me wrong, I love technology just as much as the next person. I mean, who doesn't enjoy asking Alexa random questions throughout the day? If you're lucky, Alexa may tell you a funny joke. But when it comes to choosing our leaders, I firmly believe that human connection coupled with a genuine understanding of our needs should be a prerequisite. Don't you agree?

Imagine this: Candidate X, a proud product of the ChatGPT age, steps onto the podium. With a charming smile, they start spewing out generalized statements they recently learned from AI. "I promise to improve education," they say. But what about the struggling schools in our neighborhoods? What about the overcrowded classrooms and underpaid teachers? Does candidate X even know where those schools are, let alone care about the real needs of our community? So, why is Candidate X really running?

Successful leadership is about more than just having a silver tongue and impressive talking points. It's about truly understanding the problems we, as a society, face and having the empathy to alleviate them. And let's be clear: AI can never truly comprehend what it's like to live in a struggling neighborhood or what it feels like to worry about putting food on the table.

So, let's make a pact, shall we? Let's promise each other that we won't elect an AI candidate. Let's choose someone who has walked the streets, has felt the struggles, and is passionate about making a genuine and lasting difference. Forget about grabbing votes with fancy words generated by an algorithm. We, the people, need leaders who will roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty to bring about real change - you know, the people who actually do the work.

After all, there's no app for understanding our communities' hopes, fears, and aspirations. It takes a human touch, empathy, and a willingness to listen. So, next time you cast your vote, let's choose someone who proves they are more than a puppet dancing to the whims of a machine. Let's elect a candidate who is as real as the needs of our community, and let's keep AI out of office!
